Winona Transit Service is a public transportation service provided by the City of Winona and funded by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). We operate both a Deviated Route Service and Dial A Ride (DAR) service.
All Winona Transit buses are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and are equipped with wheelchair lifts.
We do not operate on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. To schedule a deviation or a ride on DAR, please call the dispatch office at 507-454-6666.
We accept cash payments on the bus and these must be exact fares only as the drivers do not make change. You can also purchase single ride tokens or monthly bus passes. These can be purchased at the City Finance Department at City Hall. The rates are as follows:
