[ARCHIVED] Residents Asked to Clear Snow Around Fire Hydrants

20221205-winter-fire-carbon-monoxide-safety

The Winona Fire Department and Water Department are asking residents to assist with clearing snow around fire hydrants.  Some hydrants were inadvertently buried after the recent snowfall.

Every second counts in a fire emergency and keeping hydrants clear of snow is critical to the effectiveness of fire personnel. For the safety of all residents please help keep fire hydrants clear of snow.

Please contact the Fire Department at 507-457-8266 if you are aware of a buried hydrant on your property and unable to clear it.
