You may have noticed that a number of trees in Windom and Sinclair Parks, and along Broadway and Huff St. have green ribbons tied around them. These were placed by private residents (Friends of Winona Parks) on ash trees to bring awareness to the fact that these trees will likely be killed by the Emerald Ash borer sometime this decade. The group is raising funds to save the ash trees and plant new trees.
